Required Training for the NAFA Guide to Air
Filtration, 4th ed. The Technical Committee
recently published the NAFA Guide to Air Filtration, 4th
Edition and it contains two new chapters, 14 – Ultraviolet
Germicidal Irradiation, Photocatalytic Oxidation and 15 –
Industrial Contaminant Air Filtration Control Systems.
The 4th edition also updates the information contained in
the 3rd edition.
The amount of new information published makes it critical
that all CAFS's, are made aware of the changes.
In order to accomplish this, the Board of Directors has
issued a mandate that all current CAFS (those who earned
their accreditation before April 2008) must get up-to-speed
on the new items in the text. This training process
(CAFS renewal) will be done during the next three NAFA
meetings - TECH2008 in Memphis
(completed), the Annual Convention in San Francisco
and TECH2009 in Las Vegas.
Current CAFS's will not need to take a written exam, but
CAFS’s are required to attend one of the three update
sessions to keep their accreditation.
The following NAFA Members have completed their required
CAFS update training. Any errors on the below list
should be brought to the attention of NAFA by sending an
email to nafa@nafahq.org.
